"Beautiful, rustic rooms Great food Excellent, friendly staff"

"Three night stay away without the car for a change. Train station just 10 minutes away and taxi rank outside the hotel, well located. Staff all friendly and food is good. A little tatty in places and missed no plugs beside the bed, no hairdryer but not a massive thing. Totnes is definitely the place to go if you have a dog as everywhere caters for them."

"The first room was not good and the heat did not work. But we were moved to a new room. That was absolutely beautiful spacious, working heat, comfortable, clean with sitting area. So the second room gets all the five stars! Staff and food were all wonderful!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Stoke Lodge hotel - our room was perfect and very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! All the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and they went above and beyond, even leaving a card and towel sculpture in the shape of a wedding cake in our room to congratulate us on our wedding anniversary! We enjoyed spending time in the bar which was beautifully decorated and had a great atmosphere and loved using the pool facilities, especially the outdoor pool! Thank you so much!"
