The location was ideal, just a 5 minute walk to The Hoe, easy walk to The Lido and the Barbican, 20 minutes from the Train Station, the room I stayed in was small but adequate for what I needed, they no longer do Breakfast but there are a choice of places within a 10 minute walk, bed was comfy and a selection of teabags and coffee in the room, these aren’t always replaced daily but if you ask at reception they will give you some, would definitely stay again if I go back to Plymouth especially for the price.

Stayed on the third floor, small room, plenty of space, the room was clean with no damage, shower worked great. There was a fan in there which is helpful in the summer, didn’t have any noise complaints to make. Only stayed for one night so can’t come in on much else, the room key can be used for the front door when reception is closed after 10 pm and be aware that the keys go in the door horizontal rather than vertical and they also turn anticlockwise which takes some getting used to. Overall, very happy with my stay and I would stay here again.

Stayed at The Grosvenor twice before last Autumn and it was almost perfect. Apparently there is a change of ownership and improvements being made. My original single bed room had issues and therefore I was upgraded to a double room which was great. However, I was informed the kitchen is currently closed so there was no breakfast which I previously had enjoyed. In the morning, the shower was just a trickle and then it stopped completely and there was no water coming into the taps or wc. Reception was also closed until 8am. So I left a message on the emergency number and went out for an hour to get some breakfast. On return the water was back on. Overall, it is and hopefully will return to be a great value place to stay. I expect I will return but only once breakfast returns.

Clean room, nice friendly staff. In the small single room the shower needs updated and water pressure. But way more importantly the pillow and mattress were the worst I have ever come across to the extent I considered sleeping on the floor. On a postive note the room is exceptionally clean.

First of all, say that the hotel system gives you a room, it has nothing to do with the reception. The system awarded me a room that was not very prepared yet, it smelled a lot of paint and had no little soaps, but without any problem I told Paul and he assigned me in another room much better with everything I needed. He was very friendly at all times with me, helpful apologized and gave incredible attention. No noise to sleep, the bed was a little soft on the mattress, but I was able to rest well, they go every day to check you out and clean the room and ask you if you need anything. and check out at 11:00 pm.
