"All in all the stay at browns was fab. My only issue would be floor in the bathroom needed repairing as wooden floor had gaps and discoloured with the shower bottom also in the same condition. However fan hotel and very friendly staff with good location. Dartmouth is a beautiful place."

"We were a group of 6 adults and had a wonderful stay at Andrew's property. Excellent communication from the host prior to our arrival. The house is located only a short walk away from the centre along a relatively flat (for Dartmouth!) road, although it is quite narrow with no on site parking. We dropped our bags off at the property then drove around to find a permit free parking space (suggestions of where to go received from Andrew beforehand) which took around 20 minutes. Parking is a problem in Dartmouth generally, especially in the summer, so we would have had this issue no matter where we stayed. The property was perfect for our needs - very clean with 3 generous sized bedrooms and superb views from the lounge and top bedroom. The owners have decorated the house, especially the the kitchen and main bathroom to a very high standard which made our stay very comfortable. We only stayed for 2 nights to watch the Shakespeare play performance at the castle but we can highly recommend this property and will definitely stay again if we return to Dartmouth."

"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It’s in a beautiful location with stunning views. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. The only downside was that our room was very hot. Although two fans were provided, it was still difficult to sleep comfortably. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return."

"Overall, we had a lovely time and the house was what we expected and is true as advertised. A word of warning about the excessively narrow approach road with brick walls either side allows just a matter of inches on each side of the car…!!! The drive through the narrow village road in and out of the house each day is not for the faint hearted or a less than confident Driver..!!Whilst the house and decking are good and accessible for the elderly and small children, the outdoor steep grassy hill going down to the river are not. The outside generally is a beautiful idyllic peaceful place with an amazing view. The red lion community pub is open Tuesday, Fridays, and Saturday for drinks and an occasional pasty - very friendly nice pub though currently under renovation so no outdoor seating area. Access to the pub is 5 minute walk up very steep hill or steps so is not Recommended for the elderly or mobility scooters.The sportsman’s arms pub 2 1/2 miles up the main access road serves wonderful food and has amazing countryside views over from the Terrace.I would highly recommend this property, but we will not miss the narrow lanes in and out!"

"The property was in a great location for the town centre. The road is very narrow so be mindful of what size car you have, but we were fine. Only enough parking for one car, so had to park in the park and ride for the other car, but that was easy enough. House is fully equipped, very clean and comfortable and would definitely recommend."
