"This place is pretty special. It is a small, low key resort. My son wanted to stay close to the pool, so we stayed in a standard room. The room wasn't great. The beds were hard, it could use a refresh, the air conditioner was loud, and there was no soundproofing. If we had picked one of the bungalows or treehouses, I likely would have given the place 5 stars. It is a nice alternative away from the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna but still close to lots of attractions. "

"Although we were under the weather when we arrived we were able to enjoy the property. Hazel the housekeeper was a lifesaver to my wife and I . Property was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed the slides and hot spring feed pools. "

"We loved the swim up bar in the hot springs. They also did some small touches like putting out food for the birds where we could see them during breakfast. The grounds have a fun quick hike on them as well."

"The property is large and about 50 minutes from the airport in the middle of nowhere. The food options are great!! Reservations are not required for the restaurants but you have to get there at least 15 minutes before they open if you want to get a table. The selection of food at the buffet and the different restaurant are excellent. The people and service are are also excellent. The only con to this property is the beach. It is not very clean and we witnessed one of the souvenir vendors deal...

"Greatest place to stay in the area - hot springs - beautiful view - great staff - great service - the ride to the river facilities including - the horseback riding/tubing/mountain climbing was all perfect. The one thing I will say which was not as good was the evening food quality at their Sushi & Steak (two separate) restaurants. Go into town eat at Don Rufino (that place was absolutely excellent) and if you want some great brick oven pizza go to Anch'io. "

"Rancho de Lelo Ecolodge is a family owned small lodge, located about 20 minutes from the main area of Monte Verde. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay with this charming family. The National Park is only 10-15 minutes drive. The farm to table cuisine was awesome. Highly recommended. "
