We had the perfect room located in the Premium section. The staff was incredible, Stephen, Christian, Jimmy and Javier to mention a few of the bartenders. Shirley and Tiffany were the hostess with the best personalities at the premium restaurant. We had the most incredible time and cannot wait until our return.

The overall interior maintenance of the rooms was poor. The staff were not polite nor accommodating, the check-in and check out was disorganized and inefficient. The night shows were entertaining and the bar staff were great!

The location was great, the beach was beautiful. The room had extensive water damage and smelt like mold. The pool was dirty - milky water, stunk, and lots of tree debris. Lots of parking which was great and we could use the amenities while waiting for our room after an early arrival. The restaurant food was great - only with a reservation - but the buffet was not. We will not return.

Ocean was visible from room...staff was friendly...no coffee available on property til 7 or 7:30. Not sure if we were habitually too late but tried to make reservations multiple times, sometimes days in advance, for the on site restaurants only to get rejected every time but one. Did not use many of the amenities as we were always out adventuring in the country and had no need for any of the amenities.

Not enough staff were English speaking. Always told us, "no speak English". Couldn't get reservations on your app, always said rejected, unless we went and seen a guy. No bacon for breakfast was a disappointment. Activities and entertainment were always in Spanish which you couldn't understand. Food was good.

Resort was very clean, it was obvious that the worked hard to keep it that was constantly. Staff was always super nice and welcoming. Security was always present but subtle about it. Everyone we talked to was always helpful in every way they could be. The food was all good with nice dinner reservations available at all 3 different restaurants on site. They all served very nice, very flavorful different styles of food, and the buffets the had were good too. We loved the place and will be back!

The hotel was very clean, food was good and the staff amazing. My reservation was for a king bed room but I received the 2 double bed room. They did try to change my room but found the king room dated and in disrepair. The hotel wifi was terrible. They have rules like can’t leave your towel unattended on a chair by the pool before 8:00 AM. If you do they may bag it and take it away. We found our belongings at the tool hut. Sun comes up a 6:00 AM. They are very punctual. If a bar opens at 4:00 PM. Don’t try to get a drink at 3:58. Stuff like that. I don’t think we would go back to this hotel.

This was my first time in Costa Rica and staying at this resort for the tail end could have been better. The amount of kids and families there hindered any relaxation i was hoping to get but thats my fault for not staying at an adult only resort. Besides that, the resort was fantastic, the staff was very friendly and encouraged me to practice my Spanish as horrible as it was. If i had a family to bring, i would absolutely bring them back here.

The hotel is great if you're looking for entertainment, a nice pool, and proximity to the San Jose airport. However, the food wasn't my favorite, it was just okay. It seems like they're cooking for a large number of guests, so the meals lack flavor and don't have enough seasoning.

Good stay....check in was good...no major language barrier....nothing against this hotel..but I would seriously suggest travelers stay in a regular/non resort hotel...you will save tons of $$...just my $0.02. Again, our stay here was good...but way too pricey...this is the only resort West of San Jose...in the Puntarenas area..I would also recommend staying on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica...East of San Jose...the beaches are white and the water is a vibrant blue...on the western side...(which is where this hotel is located)...the beaches are black and the water is dark...can't say I didn't like it...just not something I'm used too...this is caused by active volcanoes in the area....again...nice hotel...but I would look at other options....preferable on the Caribbean side of the county...incredible staff....

After reading the reviews I had my doubts about this resort. I must say this place was great. They had plenty of places to eat, multiple pools to cool off and enough Imperial (beer) for everyone. Staff was humble and really nice. Staff spoke english and spanish so communication wasnt a problem. They also have an area to rent cars or excursions so you can visit other areas close to Puntarenas. I have no complaints about this place besides the wait time to check in other than that I would bring family here on my next visit. Pura vida!

Staff is super friendly. Note - if you are from the US- you will be one of the only US citizens- this resort caters to locals so the language barrier is there. The rooms are very outdated and in need of a renovation so it appears dirty. The drawer fronts fell off, the closet door wouldn’t go on the track, fire alarm half missing- if fire occurred - we wouldn’t know- areas are rusty- due to the elements. If you just want to float in the pool all day- this place is for you. We wished that activities started earlier than 10 pm- but then again we wouldn’t understand the entertainment. We did participate in water aerobics- in Spanish but we could follow along.
