"The room was clean and generally well maintained. The staff, particularly at breakfast were friendly and helpful. The breakfast itself was very tasty and good quality. There was a reasonable selection of breakfast items. Unfortunately we ended up with an interconnecting room, so despite the hotel being advertised as having sound proof rooms, it really wasn’t. We could hear our next door neighbours chatting and they woke us when they returned home late. The pillows were really uncomfortable so we didn’t get a great night’s sleep. "

"The view from the room was terrible. It was a concrete square with tyres. The furniture was plasticky. For the price really wasn’t worth it on top of that our sleep was disrupted by people fighting and the police being called. I wish I booked the Holiday Inn."

"Happy with our stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms with comfy beds. I liked the dressing gowns and slippers which were handy for the pool. Breakfast was good and evening meal was nice. Overall a good hotel that served us well for a weekend break "

"We stayed in room 233 classic double, room was plenty big enough, no view from the window but for 1. Night didn’t matter, beautiful ornate staircase - definitely recommend "

"ALL the staff were great. The table service at the Merlin bar was very slow. But it was busy. They only had 1 lift (out of 3)working that day which made us get our steps in. Food was amazing! But I do not like , and The Manor is not alone in this, that a service charge is added automatically to our bill. The golf experience was great. Lifts to and from the courses all complimentary, and there is also the added bonus of free charging at the outside carpark, and plenty of them too! I had a great time her. Loved my room and the bath! "

"Great stay - everything you need for an overnight. Use of gym and pool and really nice food. Perfect and great value for money."

"Only downside with our visit was only 1 of the 3 lifts was working. With it being easter weekend the hotel was very busy and we had to wsit a long time for the 1 lift working "

"STAY AWAY! EXTREMELY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE! We unfortunately experienced discrimination and were poorly let down by Stephen James, Felicity, and Dan. We were lied to and treated unfairly. Worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. Will be escalating this to Marriott management!"
