"This is an excellent hotel. Have stayed here before and will definitely be back. Staff are absolutely amazing, especially Jack and Maria at breakfast. Breakfast was excellent. Good selection of hot food. The rooms are large, the beds very comfortable and the rooms have everything you need including a fridge. Complimentary water and I especially loved getting biscuits with the in-room tea and coffee. The gym at the hotel is also excellent. Highly recommend this hotel."

"The Good: Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great, plenty of options for places to eat. Plenty of activities available and easy to book. The Bad: No complimentary parking. Some of the lifts were broken and had been for several days before we arrived. There seemed to be no interest in getting them fixed. Quite disappointed overall, not sure I would ever come back. Would have been better booking a holiday abroad."

"We were in the cottage room 26 .we were the road side .There was nt a prolem as didnt hear the traffic .But the room needed updating .the bedroom was very small with 2 single beds .which probably would have been better with a double .the bathroom was also very small with shower over bath .But saying that it had everything that was needed .we just stayed the one night and only slept in the room .we found the hotel very well run nice staff. The bar lounge and dining rooms in the hotel was lovely .The breakfast was definitly worth it .very nice and plenty .I would stay again but probably would recommend staying in the hotel ."

"The staff were amazing throughout our stay. The family room feels outdated but is still spacious. Our AC wasn’t working but they were happy to move us to different room. The breakfast was nice, standard English breakfast items!"

"Great property and very helpful staff. It was a much needed break for my family and we made full use of the facilities, gym, pool, restaurants and spa (massage). We loved how the property took small details to accommodate for our family, which included kids size robes / slippers, welcome activity pack and snacks and key was separate individual sofa twin beds. My only comment is regarding the family pool times are limited so it does get congested during those allotted hours and especially during the weekends when families with annual resort passes attend, otherwise it was quite during our stay during normal school hours. Overall amazing stay."

"The room was beautiful and spotless however some of the furniture was a little worn but it added character. They had the tea and coffee box well stocked and not with just the standard tea and coffee but with the flavoured tea and decaf coffee plus they had shower gel, shampoo and conditioner as well as if you had forgotten anything you could ask for a guest pack (toothpaste, toothbrush, razors etc). On our first day we had and issue with the iron leaking, light blinking and not warming up so contacted reception and a brand new one was delivered to our room immediately. What we weren't made aware of is there was a £50 deposit upon arrival (not including what we had already paid for staying there). The staff are very friendly, they had live entertainment on Saturday night and there's 3 ways to eat at the hotel (room service, Ribs grill and bar food). Thank you for the comfortable stay."

"This hotel is obviously struggling and standards are slipping and corners being cut which is a shame as the building is a lovely example of victorian gothic."
