Excellent accommodation.

The accommodation is located right near a bus stop and shops which is handy for food etc the area is quite safe and the price for a room of the quality we had is very good .

Dog friendly

We stayed for two nights with our dog. We had a room which opened straight onto the path/carpark,which was ideal with the dog. Parking was easy directly in front of the room . The room was spotlessly clean with a comfy bed,free WiFi and tea/coffee making facilities. 5 minute walk to town centre .

Room wasn’t serviced on our second day. Was told it’s due to covid and they only service rooms if requested. That’s ok if they tell you about this policy; it’s very difficult when you need toilet rolls and toiletries replenishing. A simple notice in the room is all that is required. The room was ‘clean’ but would benefit from an occasional deep clean

Let down by some simple basic omissions

DeanGate Motel is modern and by and large clean. It turns out my room was an "Economy" room. It shared a bathroom with 3 other rooms which I understood at the time of booking and had no problem with. However there were a few things which if addressed would have made my stay more enjoyable. First the sink was not clean it had stains in it the nature of which I cannot be sure of. Second there is no wardrobe/rail/hangers to keep your clothes neat and finally the shower is an over the bath type. Sadly no non-slip mat was provided which is an absolute must for a stand in the bath type of shower. Therefore I cannot recommend this accommodation

I stayed in a room with a shared bathroom for 2 nights. I was lucky and had the bathroom to myself. Fir what I paid for my 2 nights I thought it was good value Room was clean and comfortable, but a bit dated. Lots of parking. Helpful friendly staff. Good location for exploring the Gorest of Dean.
