"Tucked in a sheltered cove and nestled in a soft coniferous forest, the Kenslynne domain hosts a cluster of secluded cottages on the rocky shores of Faraday Lake. Lynne or Glynnis will welcome you like family to stay in one of their beautiful lakeside homes. We stayed in Sharon's Lakeview Cottage, a tiny-home-like experience also known as the "Bunkie". This adorable little cabin does not have all the amenities of the other larger cottages, but is a cozy stay with its loft bed and pull-out loveseat. We walked the short stone path down to the shared dock with laddered steps down to a clear, warm lake every morning, and a few nights as well. The swimming was fabulous, the perfect balance of warm and cool against the hot August weather. The historic downtown of Bancroft is a quick 10 minute drive away, with small local shops and cafés, as well as full grocery shopping. It felt like camping in comfort, cooking local farm produce on our deckside BBQ, and taking meals in the dappled shaded swing seats by the firepit. I'm looking forward to trying the other cottages on future trips! "

"Exactly what to expect for the price of a roadside motel. Clean room and very friendly hard working staff."

"What a pleasant surprise this was! It has everything to expect in a typical roadside motel but the bathroom has a nice large soaker tub. Everything very clean, the AC works and the restaurant was charming with excellent homemade dishes. There is a lazy river floating by the trimmed backyard grounds. "

"What a great week … as others stated the property exceeded expectations …. Nice and roomy.. Kitchen is super well equipped … checkin was a breeze as door code provided and easy entrance. Master has great view of lake and sunrise… 2 bathrooms with showers is a bonus… water toys and inflatables were great as was the hot tub … lots of comfy chairs on dock and deck…. Screen in room overlooks lake and is excellent for your morning coffee and reading time…Fire pit area is large and roomy and ample wood was provided. The backyard area is nice and flat for your cornhole games and whatever else you need Internet was good and fast and allowed people to work if needed and be on video calls speed was always over 60MBPS All in all an excellent property and we would not hesitate to rebook again This feels like you are borrowing a friends or family members cottage vs a rentalPlease don’t hesitate in booking this property !!!"

The room was spacious and beautiful, the property was spectacular, and the breakfast was the most delicious I've ever had. "This was a perfect cottage holiday for a young water loving family. The kids loved the sandy beach and shallow sandy bottom of the lake. We enjoyed canoeing, paddle boarding and lots of fishing and swimming. The cottage was comfortable and well supplied with kids activities. Peter responded quickly when contacted. We all had a great time"

"It is a beautiful resort, small, quiet and clean. The staff were wonderful - very friendly and helpful. The only suggestion I have to improve is that the beds probably need to be replaced."
