"Annette and Al welcomed us upon our arrival, and we couldn't overlook their adorable little dog, Ginger. Annette showed us to our room, which was so cozy and lovely. Al gave us offerings for breakfast the next morning. This property is truly a gem. It offers a peaceful atmosphere that's perfect for strolling through the beautiful gardens, where the flowers are simply gorgeous. We enjoyed a nightcap on the patio and had a wonderful night's sleep, feeling right at home. Al prepared his famous blueberry pancakes for breakfast. They were undoubtedly the best pancakes we've ever tasted, so light and fluffy! If you seek peace and tranquillity, this is the perfect place. Annette and Al are truly wonderful people; it feels as though we've known them forever. They are very talented; Annette is a quilter, and Al does scroll work. We purchased from their gift shop. It's always a pleasure to support local artisans who pour their heart and soul into their work."

"The cottage was well supplied and amenities were plentiful all the way down to the phone charger. (which I had forgot mine at home). Ashley responded promptly to any questions that I had. The cottage was very clean and modern but still had a cottage feel. Beautiful views from the deck as tress where just starting to change to their autumn colours. Nice to have the furnace automatically come on as the night time temp dropped to 2’c.Very peaceful area and a short drive to town if needed. We visited the Eagles Nest lookout in Bancroft. Would highly recommend a stay at Ashley’s. "
