"The property was easy to find but the room took a minute. We had to drive around and figure out where the pool was and what it was called. A map would make it easier to find. The condo was gorgeous and very spacious. The second bedroom air wasn’t working and it was VERY hot in that room. I called on our second day to get it fixed and no one ever called me back or came to try and fix it. My son ended up sleeping terribly because of the heat. Bonner Bridge is one of North Carolina's most well known man-made structures of it's kind (The Linn Cove Viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway is probably the most well known). This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle.

This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness.

If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location.

"I had a room on the 2nd floor in the tower, king size bed with a dune view. However, this particular room was on the very end and seemed much larger than the one I stayed in the weekend before this day. It had an extra window on the side of the room overlooking the walkway and gazebo, and from my balcony, I had a great view of the ocean without paying ocean price. Definitely a bonus..... Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. The only critiques for me to comment on would be that the bathroom is super small, there's only one mirror and that's right by the front door over the seat so if you have more than one person getting ready, it's impossible unless you bring your own mirror, and I advised I would be checking in late however when I arrived the office was closed and there was a note on the door with a number to call. I had to call multiple times to get anyone to answer and it took about an hour for someone to show up to check me in. By the time I got to my room it was well after 1:00 a.m., and still had to pay full price for the night. Otherwise everything else was fabulous. Staff was very friendly nice and helpful, and will definitely stay there again."
