Great for a very comfortable overnight stay

Beautiful, clean, well appointed room with fantastic views over countryside The hotel is situated in a lovely Derbyshire village with many local walks and places of interest nearby. Staff were helpful and efficient. Food was of a high standard if a tad overpriced

Lovely place to stay

The stay was great from the start, from the check in and being shown to our lovely room. The room itself was gorgeous and the coffee station and treats were great too. Evening meals are great. The breakfast arrangement is not buffet style and you get a menu and have to order this with tea/ coffee etc at the bar. It would have been nice to have some bowls and fruit to help yourself to but it would not put me off booking again. The cooked items for breakfast are excellent

Hotel was absolutely spotless,staff were very nice especially one lady (cathy) who served us breakfast. The food was delicious and the hotel had beautiful views.Was all in all a lovely stay.

absoloutley fabulous ! room beautifully reburbished to the highest standard, all the little touched there, mini fridge, bottled water even a scone jam and clotted cream waiting in the room. would definitely stay again.

Better than Hilton

Wow what a hotel . I stay away a lot with work and I’ve never been so impressed. From the quality of the room to the food on-site and the friendly staff 10/10 thank you And such a nice touch a personalised letter on the bed waiting for you and a scone with cream and jam in the room . Honestly best hotel I’ve stayed in and I will be back .

We stayed for my "pre wedding" night for my daughter wedding. Fabulous place, spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, wonderful rooms. The staff are a credit to the hotel, couldn't have been more attentive. Would absolutely recommend. In fact i took my husband to show him 2 days later. Im sure it's going to be somewhere we will re-visit.

What a gem of a place in the stunning Peak District! James and the team looked after us so well, and their own microbrewery on site, Collyfobble, produces some gorgeous beer on draught. It's the small things that matter and when you have a personal letter of welcome in the room, the door of the breakfast room wide open and relaxing music playing and only one home-made scone in the room on welcome (knowing that it's better to go halves on an enormous scone for two, rather than waste a second one), you can tell there is real attention to detail here. Perhaps a separate, designated area for customers with dogs in the dining rooms would be worth considering.
