"The resort was beautiful. The food options were good but not all food was good. Service was POOR. Almost all servers at different restaurants and buffet restaurant felt entitled to tips. They didn’t provide service unless you tip. Most didn’t even respond to hellos/holas, grumpy faces or responses. When people wave bills they get service. Completely disappointed. They should learn from Mexican resorts where they pride on consistent and above average friendly service. Everything else was good. "

"Staff at RIU is amazing, they provide excellent service. Location is great with beautiful beach 🏝️. Property is well maintained. Food is great. Spa and wellness, very good. The only thing where I would like to see some improvements are rooms that can use some updates, bed mattresses are slightly too firm for my preference. "Darling and Benlin helped to make our short vacay great. What prevented me for given 5 stars is the lack of towels. It was very difficult to get towels to shower with so bring your own so you won’t run into issues. We had booked a swim out for 3 and It was difficult to get 3 sets of towels. "I enjoyed my 3 nights at this property. The pool view was absolutely amazing even though there is not an ocean view. I paid extra for breakfast and it was wonderful. Unfortunately, there were a few things that I did not like, such as the WiFi only working in the lobby. The balcony sliding door not being able to close or lock. They did not provide wash cloths. Other than that, it is an awesome hotel."
