"Nice hotel near restaurants "
This is a very nice hotel considering the price! I loved that it had parking and the rooms were nice and clean. My only complaint would be the water pressure for the shower. it was extremely weak !

Hotel room was very spacious and clean. The staff was friendly. The one thing I didnt like was the price of parking $48 is way too much.

"Good position, well centered"
The hotel is right on Lombard st, buses few mins walk, restaurants and bars round corner. The room is spacious but only single glazed Windows , so traffic can be heard. I am a light sleeper and it did disturb me a little. Too be honest we were so tired at the end of the day it wasn't too much of an issue. The king size beds are quieter rooms, we had 2 doubles which face the road. All in all a good hotel for the price with good under ground parking.

Great Staff. Walking distance to few places. Horrible social conditions with the homeless people right outside of the hotel.

"Nice hotel but disappointing treatment by owner."
When i arrived early around 11AM I was told no rooms were ready and to come back at 1PM, which I did. I was then told by the owner, a Chinese woman, that there were still no rooms ready and to come back at 230 PM. When I pressed her, she showed me to a first floor room facing a brick wall and where I could here everything that was happening at the front desk. When I insisted that I had I asked her twice for a quiet room, she finally looked annoyed and gave me a room on the top floor. Why did I have to go through all this? Couldn't this sneaky woman give me the room I requested in the first place? Was she saving it for her more favorite guests? I don't know. Don't let these people, particularly this Chinese owner, play their sneaky games with you. Insist on the room you want and do not let this woman intimidate you!

The Marina Inn on San Francisco Bay

"Nice, quaint hotel on the bay."
coming from out of state, I was worried about finding the hotel. Our GPS directions lead us right to the hotel. The staff were friendly. The elevator made noises that scared my teenagers. Breakfast was nice. It was too chilly the 2 days we were at the hotel, so we didn't get to use the pool. There are 2 restaurants right next to hotel within walking distance. The hotel provided a cookie and milk snack in late afternoon/evening, which was a nice touch. When I needed to go to Walmart, they printed directions off for us. It is truly the little things that make a difference! If we ever return to the bay area, definitely will stay here again!

Staff was excellent. Room was dated but ok. Toilet ran and had to be reset by hand and some lights didn't work. Room was clean.
