"Great Location"
If you're just exploring Old Montreal, this is the place. As mentioned in other reviews, the floors are crooked, the tvs are old and there are no elevators. However, it's a short walk to the Bonsecour, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Port and Place Jacques Cartier. The closest subway stop is the Champ de Mars. If you have a bicycle, the Rue Beri has a long segregated bikelane going all the way up to UQAM and beyond. The bed was lumpy but the sheets were clean and I had a couple of good night's sleep, thanks to all that walking.

"Extremely pleasant staff, great location"
The location for driving into downtown Montreal was awesome. Very quick drive. Staff we're extremely friendly and very fluent in both French and English. Mattress wasn't very comfortable but everything else about the place made up for it!

La Tour Belvedere Apartment Hotel

2175 De Maisonneuve Blvd. West, Montreal - Map
"Nice reasonable apartment hotel"
This is a great hotel if you are not looking for huge TVs and fancy furnishings. It is basic, clean, and comfortable. We had a one bedroom with two double beds that were very good. We had a very good size living room and a small compact kitchen with a full size stove and refrigerator. The bathroom was small, but served the purpose. There was plenty of closet space and hangers, but no drawers (just shelves). The cons were the air conditioners which were noisy and we did not really get enough towels and only one face cloth (there were two of us). The pros are the size of the suites, the balconies and the fridge and stove for keeping things cold and allowing you to heat things up (if you have leftovers from a meal out). Another funny thing was that the WiFi expired each morning at 7:00 a.m. and we had to go down to the desk to get a new password. The pool was small but refreshing and the views from the rooftop deck in the evening are lovely. The location is pretty good and you can walk to most of the bars and restaurants as well as the shopping. There was no parking available at the hotel so we parked a block away and left the car there for 2 days. The total cost for both days was $40.

"Nice decor, bad area "
The rooms had very nice decor and were well renovated and clean, but the bed was very firm and there was nothing to the room. The area did not seem like the greatest area of Montreal to be in and there was a lot of young people in the motel. When we turned our bathroom light on (which turns the vent on) the room started to smell like weed! Someone had been smoking in their bathroom which caused it to travel through the vents. For people who do not smoke it was very disgusting. Other than that the price wasn't bad and it was a short drive to restaurants which was nice.

"Nice motel on the bank of the St Lawrence"
The motel was conveniently located not far from the city across the St Lawrence and on its banks, between the freeway and the river. It would be useful to have had acess to a computer and there was no breakfast available.

The location was perfect for me. Close to a couple of record stores I wanted to get to (within walking distance for me). Also, St. Denis is a good street to be on. Lots of interesting places to eat.

"Nice location and inexpensive"
Older place without remodel, but affordable and a great location. It's not the Ritz Carlton, but if you're a traveler who wants to sight see on a budget, and have a dog with you, this is the place!!!
