Great location, free parking, artsy, funky double chateau houses, with helpful and kind staff. Fantastic level of style and service for the price. Good breakfast in the morning with Fairmont bagels. I travel to Montreal 1-3x per year and will always stay here from now on.

Hotel Quartier des Spectacles - Montreal Hotels

Hotel Quartier des Spectacles

17 St-Catherine West, Montreal - Map
"Centrally located hotel in Montreal"
You know when they say 'do not judge a book by its cover?' It is exactly how i would describe my experience with Hotel Quartier des Spectacles. Don't allow a nearby sex shop or the overall appearance of the outside of the building fool you. The staff was very helpful upon arrival and check-out. For example: my side-table lamp went out during the night and was replaced by the time i returned to the hotel. The room I booked was decently sized and was perfect for someone travelling alone. The shower stall was a bit too small for my liking, even for a petite person. However, the provisions in my room was suitable enough for a two-night stay. The hotel is centrally located. All major attractions (Old Port, Old Montreal, Notre Dame Basilica, Place des Arts) are within walking distance. Even the Olympic Park, Biodome, Botanical Gardens, and St. Joseph's Oratory could be easily reached since the hotel is close to a metro station (St. Laurent - green line). However, the building that houses the hotel is 200 years old and is considered a heritage building. There are many stairs and there are no lifts to get from the main floor to subsequent floors. Overall, if you're looking for a hotel that is centrally located and would not ruin your budget, this is the place to visit.

Hotel Les Suites Labelle

1205 Labelle, Montreal - Map
"A1 location, steps to 747 express, Metro and IGA."
Hotel is very quiet and located at the hub of all 4 Metro lines, the 747 airport express is on the corner, steps from the hotel. The buffet breakfast is adequate with juice, tea, coffee, pastries, toast, jam, peanut butter and hot offering of scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries and pork and beans. There is internet available in the lobby and the rooms have WIFI connections. The kitchenette is well equipped and everything is clean, the room is quite spacious. There is a grocery store on St. Catherine St., which is a pedestrian street with lots of shops and restaurants. We were very comfortable here and would recommend it to Montreal bound travellers.
