"We stayed in the cottage and it was exceedingly charming and comfortable. Staff were truly kind and gracious, and we had two great meals at the main restaurant. The nature trail on the property was a nice bonus. Great location near the national park and close to other restaurants, too. Staying at the Kilauea Lodge was the highlight of our trip."

"I had a wonderful stay at Dragonfly Ranch. Initially I gave a bad rating for check in experience because nobody was there for me to check in. And later I found that it was because a staff had to go to hospital for emergency and usually someone is there. All staff are warm and helpful. The owner, Barbara is full of knowledge of health. "If only we could have stayed longer! We had booking the glamping unit, but because of water issues Theresa switched us to the Bungalow, which was so cosy. She agreed alternative breakfast arrangements as we had to leave early on checkout. We only had time to meet the chickens and ducks at the doorstep, but we saw the donkey and goats sheltering from the rain! I would definitely recommend staying here if you're making a trip to Volcano NP. "

"I celebrated my husband birthday here and the host Carol and his wife worked with me to surprise him with a delicious birthday cake. They bought the cake and surprised us. The stay was amazing, if your not planning to stay in all day as we were pretty much out enjoying our activities and slept most of the 2 nites. Waking up to their delicious bed and breakfast was a plus not to mention their breath taking view. If you don’t mind sharing the living room with other guest and value your bedroom...

"If you want an experience and not a hotel, this is a good place to consider. Don’t complain if you wanted a Marriott; it’s not the Marriott. The hostess and host are kind and genuine. The lodging is nestled in a neighborhood, but it feels almost like a jungle. The shower is outside and is reasonably private. Don’t mind the geckos lingering nearby as you enjoy fresh fruit for breakfast."

"Guy running the place has knowledge that can make your stay bounce from great to greatest. Yes he has some rules but his place for three days cost me less then one night at Prop 19 in Kona and was a lot better stay. But that side of the island is family more original Hawaiian they are Community oriented. You hear Mahalo and they mean it. The people care about you when you seem lost and they walk over and ask what is wrong. At Big Island you can gain an experience that you will not get on the...

"A fantastic place to stay! We found this place on the day that Kona airport closed due to a runway crack. Diana is a great host. We arrived there almost midnight, Diana waited for us and helped us get settled in. Next morning, we woke up to an amazing sea view. Diana showed us around and gave us a very thorough guide to nearby scenic spots. It is very close to the best snorkeling spot on the Big Island. The property has a sauna and swimming pool, which is great. It is also easy to find nice...

"This was the perfect house for us. We especially loved the separate bedroom for our son to stay in. It was a fully stocked kitchen and a nice grill so we cooked in every night. The hot tub was great too! Mindi and John are wonderful hosts with top notch communication. The location was perfect for exploring the National Park and surrounding areas. The pictures just don't do this place justice, it's way cooler!"
