"General speaking, this hotel/resort is in very good condition. However, it's not good if you need to find a restaurant in a hurry as there is no one nearby. Another inconvenience is that we found out the hotel did not provide shampoo, conditioner or body wash even for short stay guests. You can buy a small package for $3 in the office but it's not open after hours. "

"The condo unit itself was clean and well-finished, and the community laundry was clean and worked well. The parking lot situation was not lovely, but was overall safe. There is a window air conditioner in the bedroom, so the winow can't be opened for fresh air. The rental agent was very responsive and brought us a fan. We liked sitting and eating on the lanai. It was a good location for enjoying Hilo. It seems silly that the dishwasher doesn't work, and seems not to have worked for a while."

"Our stay at this property was amazing. We loved the condo. The ocean views were amazing, and the home felt very comfortable, clean, and relaxing. We loved that it is remote, and out of the tourist core. The complex is relatively quiet and very peaceful. We are already hoping to stay again."

"Can't beat the location. Nice balcony view. Very clean. Host recommended a lot of good beaches and restaurants. Fun to watch the Muscovy Ducks. Parking was slightly tricky at check in due to the map of the lot and parking spot being in the room. Receiving an email map prior to check in would fix that. Besides that it was great "

"My husband and I stayed for three nights, the studio is small but perfect for just two people, especially when being outside more of the time. The area around the apartment didn’t feel super safe at night time, but we were fine walking. Close to downtown and all within easy driving to the rocky beaches"

"The host was very friendly, and shared some great tips for visiting the Hilo area. Check-in/out instructions were helpful and easy to follow. The building itself is a little tired and could use some updating/cleaning. The unit was well equipped and cozy. The beds were not particularly comfortable and overall I would rate the accomodations as 4 star"

"It was close to friends and family to visit and pick me up. Close to Island Style Cafe. Big island Candies and Cookies. It was even walking distance. The actual condo was perfect. It had everything from cleaning supplies, laundry detergent. Not to mention a full kitchen which I never used but also had everything you needed to be comfortable. Bed was cozy. Balcony furniture was comfortable too. Easy checking and check out. I will definitely stay again…."

"This location was perfect for our stay in Hilo. Easy parking and close to a lot of amenities. Happy Honu Oasis had everything we needed and things we didn’t know we needed! So thankful for the cooler! The bed was very comfortable. While it is a bit dated, it is decorated adorably and very clean. Highly recommend."

"I love taking my breaks and walk around the complex, go to farmers market or go to all the amazing different food places around. It’s also just minutes to beaches falls , the volcano, farms, botanical gardens and many other beautiful places"

"Loved the chickens! The condo was great...clean, modern, well appointed. Everything we needed was nearby i.e. no service, shop or restaurant was further away from the property than 3 miles including the beaches. Owner very responsive as was the onsite property manager. Great pool! The only negative was the doors and outside moldings of many of the other units could use some cleaning and painting, though. Otherwise, the entire facility was excellent. We highly recommend it!"

"This was the perfect house for us. We especially loved the separate bedroom for our son to stay in. It was a fully stocked kitchen and a nice grill so we cooked in every night. The hot tub was great too! Mindi and John are wonderful hosts with top notch communication. The location was perfect for exploring the National Park and surrounding areas. The pictures just don't do this place justice, it's way cooler!"
