"This property is a beautiful place to stay. There is a wonderful yard. You can walk to the ocean from the property and see the sea turtles every day. It is very relaxing and quiet here. "We had a fantastic stay at the Rainforest Cottage. The property was extremely clean and very private. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed and there was a large supply of items for use on day excursions (coolers, snorkeling gear, etc). The location was convenient to explore Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park and the Hilo area. Thank you Matt for sharing your slice of paradise with us!"

"We split our vacation to stay half on each side, and stayed here first. Because we are staying on the Kona side for the second half, we landed in Kona, so it was quite a drive - THAT WE WERE TOTALLY EXPECTING! This is not a complaint, just a statement ;) We arrived in the dark, but were still able to see what a beautiful home this was! We were lulled to sleep by the sounds of the waves crashing on the rocks below. We woke refreshed to the most beautiful views! Our days out were nice because we planned it so that we visited areas on this side while here (Volcano Park, and the coast up from Hilo). We walked the neighborhood and were greeted by a neighbor, we noticed that the Big Island has the friendliest locals (we have stayed at all the main islands)! We were sad to leave, but left feeling so relaxed and refreshed! The home was clean, our bed was so comfortable, and we had plenty of towels, dishes, and more available to us. We ate most meals there, and used the barbecue. This home is off the beaten path, in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with the most amazing views! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!"

"Location and ocean view was FANTASTIC. While it's not a 5-star/ $1000 per night hotel, it has everything you would need/ expect from an excellent beach house. We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. Great jumping off point to see sites on this side of the island (Hilo, Volcano, towns that existed a few years ago but then were taken by lava). Don't miss Uncle Robert's on Wednesday night with other locals. It was a great time. Also, the Lava Flow museum in Pahoa was really interesting and the local guide there explained a lot about how the lava impacted her life."
