We choose this hotel because it looked modern and near the port area with lots of interesting things down there. The exterior of the hotel is a little disappointing, but then it's technically an office block with the hotel on the top floors. The room was modern, just a little small, and the bathroom was the smallest we've seen, though very nice. There is however nowhere to put toiletries other than use a shelf in the wardrobe. The staff were very friendly and helpful which was a real plus. They even left a small bottle of bubbly and a birthday greeting in the room for me on my birthday, which was a lovely surprise after a long day sightseeing. The walk from Hammerbrook Station to the hotel along the canal is ok to do during the day, but after dark feels a little unsafe due to the winos. We recommend that staying here you are prepared to do a fair bit of walking to get to the sights so wear sensible shoes.
Staff welcoming and very helpful. Room was of high standard and clean. Hotels in the uk should look and learn. Myself and a friend enjoyed several days knowing the service would always be with a smile.
i arrived there almost midnight, the stuff were kind and helpfull and still working as it is morning. The inspection as you enter the hostel is it is very clean and bright so you feel confident. They gave me a room at 7th floor. The room is a bit smal but here comes the German ergonomics. What you are looking for are already in the room, it is very smart design for the room that you dont feel its small room. Also i was single and the rooms for couples or groups are probably bigger. Well i travelled so many countries and cities let me say it was the cleanest and the most ergonomic room that i had stayed. i must also say that it is very close the central train station (hamburg hauptbahnhof-Hbf) so you can just get the train or underground and visit whereever you want in Hamburg. i recommend everyone to stay there. Thanks all stuff again.
