"Fantastic Resort Hotel on the Big Island"
When I arrived late at night the first day of our stay, I could not see the ocean view properly from our room, and I complained to the front desk staff. They were very accommodating, and immediately held a wonderful ocean front room for us to move into the next day. Of course, when I saw the view the next morning during the daylight, it was wonderful, and I had a hard time deciding whether or not to move into the beach front room or not! We did make the move, and hearing the waves crash onto the lava rocks and seeing the boats outside our balcony right after sunset with the snorkelers and underwater lighting to attract the manta rays, was just another bonus among so many. Some people may not like the $30 daily "resort" fee, but it is worth every penny considering all the amenities the resort offers: a fantastic, huge pool with sand entry, meandering pathways, and two slides. Also, Ping-Pong, pool, outside computers and t.v., basketball, tennis, beautiful grounds, including a cute white chapel for Church on Sundays. Also, the resort is centrally located to all the activities the Island has to offer! This resort is perfect for families and couples alike!

Pocket Guide: Hawaii Kailua-Kona 4 stars Hotels

Kailua-Kona is the epicenter of shopping and recreation on Hawaii’s western shore. Big-game fishers delight off its waters, while shoppers reel in deals along Alii Drive. The Kailua-Kona area is a hiker’s paradise because many of its best beaches are accessible only by foot. Inland, the scent of coffee permeates the air as plantations harvest precious Kona beans. Nearby coffee farms open for tours.
