"Great location, clean and friendly"
We had five nights at this hotel, by choice with a family of four in one room. For the price this accommodation is pretty good. The room itself was very basic and very small with four of us all squeezed in. The fourth bed was really suitable for a child - our teenager complained about it being uncomfortable. However, it is very well located within easy walk of the sights and about 20m to the nearest metro station. The staff were very helpful and spoke reasonable English. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant (choice of western or Japanese) was very good and well worth the money. We even had a very nice dinner there one night when it was too wet and cold to venture out. Most importantly with two teenagers the free Wi-Fi was very good

"Hotel central to shinjuku"
Overall experience waS great. Walkable distance to JR line station and directly above another station (different line). Very close to 24hr eateries and entertainment. Room was small as usual in japan, smelt like stale smoke eventhough it was a non smoking floor.

"Nice hotel in convenient location"
Hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. The location was only a few blocks from the east exit of the Shinjuku station, making getting to and from the trains very easy. A convenience store right by the front entrance was also nice. Very quiet at night and the higher floors offer some nice views of the city. Only down side to the hotel would be the street leading up to it. In the evening we were frequently solicited by men on the street to attend the strip shows at near by bars. They were often very persistent.

"Short stay in Tokyo"
We stayed for 4 nights at the Nakano Sun Plaza which is one train stop away from Shinjuku where we spent most of our time. Hotel is great and comes with all the necessities. Everyone should try the Japanese breakfast offered there.

"Conveniency At It's Best"
The hotel is a very convenient 10 minute walk from Shinjuku station, or a 1 minute walk from Shinjuku-Gyoemmae subway station. It's easily located by its relatively bright and new neon signs. Check in at this hotel took a while as simply presenting an Expedia booking did not suffice - it was better to present identification (ie. Passport) as opposed to presenting the items Expedia sends you. The FOH hotel staff were very courteous - they all spoke some level of English. In saying this, it is more polite to attempt to greet and speak some Japanese to them as they will love the effort you put in yourself. Service by the FOH staff was excellent. The room itself was very cosy and small, typical of a Japanese business hotel. Amenities inside the room were abundant. We bought the breakfast deal with this hotel through Expedia which was a deal as Expedia priced the Hotel with and without breakfast for the almost the same price. Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent - always well greeted, food well stocked, and if something ran out, they would replace it promptly. Check out was nice and easy as everything was prepaid for through Expedia. The only thing to improve is that Expedia should send a confirmation from the hotel as well as the standard Expedia mail that Expedia sends you as it hastens check-in. Would advise travellers to present identification straight away on top of the standard email Expedia instructs you that it is the only confirmation "to present at check in"

Nice hotel. A little out of the way but manageable with station near by. Room was a nice size, for Japan. Had a few issues with the bathroom but they were resolved quickly.

"Very nice hotel right in the heart of Kabuki-cho"
The hotel was great. Clean, spacious (by Japanese standards), and right in the midst of all the restaurants and bars. The Golden Gai is right behind the hotel.

Pocket Guide: Tokyo Shinjuku 3 stars Hotels

This sprawling business, commercial, and entertainment center never lets up. It is a modern Japanese phenomenon with shopping arcades, flashing neon signs, stand-up noodle bars, and side-street video screens. Some two million people pass through the train station alone. Futuristic-looking City Hall offers a free observation deck with great city views.
