Small room, it was okay not great.

I doubt I’ll book again. We have been to Anaheim many times and stayed at a variety of hotels. I wanted to stay at a “luxury” hotel this time around. Roughly 10 days before we went, i received a cancellation of a dinner reservation at the roof top bar I made in advance. I called and was informed the hotel had suddenly been sold. I was concerned this would affect the stay and called but was assured it would not. It did. Check in was polite but lacked even the most basic of information- elevator location, pool, wifi etc. Dining and room service options extremely limited. Room was amazing with quality furnishings. Booked thru expedia, then charged full amout again by the hotel. They refunded the room but still charged me for the valet which is acceptable but Urban Experience Fee UEF Occupancy Tax UEF County Assessment Tax UEF CA Tourism Assessment Which was about another 50$ not included when i paid thru expedia

the bar for breakfast was short staffed and there was a back log of people waiting. the meal I had was only satisfactory the rooms could use new carpeting. It is very old and not appealing the beds are perfectly comfortable

The staff were so polite, and we loved the theme of the hotel and the movies in the heated pool in the evening. We booked it to go to universal studios since they offer the free shuttle. Our family enjoyed the hotel more than universal itself.
