9.2/10 Wonderful! (3,249 reviews)
Our stay had both positive and negative aspects, and I hope this feedback helps improve the guest experience.
The property offers several enjoyable amenities. I appreciated that there were separate adult and family pool areas, which allowed guests looking for a quieter atmosphere to relax while still providing an excellent kids’ pool with a fun water slide. The location is also convenient, with easy beach access. While the hotel restaurant was acceptable, I would highly recommend Island Vintage Coffee next door for breakfast.
Unfortunately, there were several issues that affected our overall experience. We encountered roaches in our room on the 26th floor as well as near the elevator on the same floor, which was very disappointing. Our room keys repeatedly deactivated throughout our stay, requiring multiple trips to have them reprogrammed. The elevators were also extremely hot with little to no ventilation, likely due to the age of the building. In addition, both the adult and family pools were completely out of towels by 9:00 a.m., which seemed unusual for a resort of this size.
The hotel was also consistently crowded due to outside conferences being hosted during our stay. Because the property provides public beach access, there was a constant flow of non-hotel guests walking through the resort, which made the common areas feel much busier than expected.
I do want to recognize Manager Paul, who was professional, pleasant, and genuinely attentive when I shared my concern

It was a very relaxing experience. Enjoyed watching the dolphins. Restaurants were exquisite and excellent. Pool and beach were fantastic and enjoyed them immensely.
It is definitely a 5 star hotel and resort. Well worth the cost.

8/10 Very good! (1,893 reviews)
This hotel gets the job done if you are looking for a place to crash that’s close to the beach. With that being said, the MOTEL (all rooms enter from outside) is really, really old. Like 1970s tile bathrooms, slat shutter windows that don’t fully close (even when windows are closed they are essentially open in terms of noise and airflow), and very dated furniture. A city trash truck camps out in back of the hotel every morning starting at 5:45am for 30 minutes and makes ungodly whirling and beeping sounds that because of the ventilation system, mean that you are guaranteed an early and loud wake up call. There is a great karaoke bar located in the hotel lobby and starting at 8pm until
2am you’ll be treated to drunken tourists singing the songs of their people. We didn’t eat at the bar but the scent of the food they sell there wafts up into all the rooms (we were on the 5th floor) and it smells delicious. We travel a lot and weren’t expecting a fancy establishment but when we returned to Waikiki we will stay elsewhere.
