The hotel is in a great location. Right across the street from the ocean with a beach that is very kid friendly with a barrier so there are no waves. The rooms were clean and the staff was super nice. You pay a resort fee and that gives you free rental of 3 items for the beach/ beach chairs, umbrellas, water shoes, backpack coolers etc. Make sure to get your items by around 9:00 am of some of the more popular items are gone. Cons to the hotel. We had an ocean view room (great view) but it was so loud. You can hear everything from people talking and playing music to sirens and cars revving on the street below. We had to sleep with white noise on and that only partially helped. Also, like most hotels in Waikiki, they are just old. Could use new windows that help block the noise.

Great place, awesome view! Cleaning staff are friendly and welcoming. It is under some renovations so Hula Grill was a bit loud, but no inconveniences. Great central location. Pool is small but didn’t care with the beach and ocean right there

We loved most everything except the evening, weddings or parties that were held out of our window with music playing all night. It was very loud and disturbing and even hard to watch our TV. Also, we felt that it was unrepresented on the website that we’d be paying such high fees for parking and resort fees that being said it was a beautiful place and everything in the room was lovely.

Decent resort. Across the street from the beach. Construction throughout the property too away from the overall experience.

Staff was excellent, treated us amazing. Had a great honeymoon experience. Upgraded our room for a fair discounted price. Excellent location and beach is like a 3 min walk. Decent view with balcony. 5 stars all around

We were pleasantly surprised as we have stayed at Four Seasons, Astoria and Ritz Hotels. Great ocean front property with excellent 5 star service! Pool is oversized and has great accommodations for sun worshippers and guests who need more shade. Location is outstanding as you can walk to the luxury shops and many amazing restaurants if you want to try something different. We had several spa treatments that were also excellent along with the many drinks and light lunches by the pool. The restaurant service and food is also outstanding . I find this hotel more of a 5 star boutique hotel and very calming! We usually stay at the four seasons in Maui but my husband wanted to go to Honolulu and I wanted to be on the ocean, this hotel seemed to be the only fit for luxury and walkability that is ocean front! I would highly recommend staying here as the Four Seasons in Hawaii is much further out and the Ritz Carlton is not ocean front! Loved it

Our stay was fantastic, the room was clean, the staff was amazing, the bed was comfortable!!! Valet service was amazing.

Excellent luxury hotel. The dolphins are amazing. The building itself needs a little maintenance. The ac unit in our room made some strange noises. The battery in the safe needed replaced and the lighting in the bathroom is much too low. The pool furniture and umbrellas are faded. However, the place is very nice and slightly away from the craziness of Waikiki beach. Very private beach. All three restaurants are much too overpriced for the food. They are higher end but $50 for a breakfast is ridiculous. That alone will probably have us stay at the Moana next time.
