"Brathay Lodge makes for a very comfortable and convenient stay in the Lake District. The room was modern and well-maintained and the staff friendly and considerate. There is a parking fee (unless booked direct) but you’d have to pay elsewhere anyway. If you have an electric car it’s a good idea to let them know in advance so you can use their reasonably-priced ProjectEV charger. The continental breakfast was fresh and varied and set us up for the day. Would definitely stay there again. "

"Lovely stay at Chestnut Villa. Room was well furnished. Bed was very comfy. Had a little sitting room. Bathroom was fab with great fixture and fittings. Rain shower was amazing. Great views both out of the back and front windows. "

"A stunningly beautiful house and gardens in an equally beautiful location, the hosts were very hospitable and very knowledgeable about the local area, the bed was super comfy and ample room in the bathroom with a very good walk in shower, full English breakfast was cooked to perfection, home made Blackberry jam you have to try, local pub nearby for food but remember to book a table for eavning dining.
