Woolacombe

"This is a nice property that's had love and care poured into restoring it. The property is however over-marketed (and over-priced) in our opinion. Expedia market as a 'cottage' and the pin shows a central Woolacombe location. Its actually in a holiday/residential park above Woolacombe. The park its in has a run down feel to it and the first impression was of deep disappointment. Once you've moved in then its a lovely property on the inside. The garden is communal - there is no division...

Seashore

Woolacombe

10/10 Excellent

I had a very enjoyable stay at Seashore. The apartment was very clean, had everything I needed and in a great location overlooking Woolacombe beach. However when I arrived for my stay my key collection was very stressful. It was January and check in time was 6pm onwards so the property was in the dark. Then I had great difficulty understanding how to collect the keys from the safe box for the apartment. The key holder was stiff, there was no explanation how it worked and when I called the...

Instow Barton

10/10 Excellent

We stayed at this wonderful hotel in June 2016 while doing the Coast Path walk. It is a restored group of farm buildings in a beautiful English village setting on the edge of Instow. We had the family room which consists of a double room with a super King size bed and two smaller single rooms. The bathroom was large with a nice big bath, just the ticket when doing the walk! The Hotel runs a superb restaurant downstairs where we had our dinner. The food was a very high standard and very...

The Hoops Inn

Bideford

10/10 Excellent

We had a comfortable stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well suited to our short stay. This is a straightforward, no-frills property with the essential amenities, and it met our expectations. Breakfast was a highlight, with a good cookes English breakfast and other options available to order, providing a great start to the day. We also had dinner and it was very good and reasonably priced. As the property is an older building, some noise transfer is to be expected. Sound carries...
