The hotel is ina quiet part of Unawatuna. You wake to the sound of the waves. Peacocks and moneys are all around. The pool is lovely and restaurant has good food/ drinks and service. The reception staff were fabulous and took care of all my needs.

We had an amazing time at Jungle Village with such a lovely warm and friendly welcome from all the staff. The property is simply stunning - a real jungle scene with birds and monkeys all around. Our room was large and spacious with glass all the way round for excellent views and we had our own balcony ...

Why not spend a care-free afternoon at Mihiripenna Beach during your travels in Talpe? Wander the seaside and gardens in the area.
You can learn about the history of Rumassala when you stop by Japanese Peace Pagoda. Wander the beautiful beaches and seaside in the area.
I personally didn't like Unawatuna. We have been a month in Sri Lanka amd there's plenty of beautiful and relaxed beaches without the high rise buildings and pretentious resorts. There's some nice restaurants and you can day trip to Fort Galle.
Beautiful beach with plenty of food and drink outlets right on the sand. Sheltered and good for swimming.
