Unique features of Talpe include the seaside views and gardens. Make a stop by Mihiripenna Beach or Koggala Beach while you're exploring the area.
Clean room, good facilities however I needed later check out because the hotel was nearly empty but they declined. I stayed outside for 5 hours to catch my flight. However they provided change room and shower outside.

We stayed for 2 nights, and we both thought that the food and the public areas were amazing. We also booked the yoga classes which were great. The bungalows are very cool, they are open, so you get a pretty unique experience. The beds are a bit on the hard side, this should be improved.

The room was spacious, clean and luxurious. There were a few bugs but this is to be expected staying in the jungle. The check in staff were fantastic and very pleasant. The restaurant was a little slow with their service, and better food can be found in town.

You can learn about the history of Rumassala when you stop by Japanese Peace Pagoda. Wander the beautiful beaches and seaside in the area.
I personally didn't like Unawatuna. We have been a month in Sri Lanka amd there's plenty of beautiful and relaxed beaches without the high rise buildings and pretentious resorts. There's some nice restaurants and you can day trip to Fort Galle.
Beautiful beach with plenty of food and drink outlets right on the sand. Sheltered and good for swimming.
