The host was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Will definitely be coming back!
Very convenient to Tryon Equestrian Center with all the amenities needed to relax and enjoy nature and get away!
My husband and I spent the night here with our dog on our way through to SC. Simple check in, beautiful location, very dog-friendly, well-appointed. Will definitely stay again next year!
We thoroughly enjoyed this scenic little cabin with all its modern conveniences. It's the perfect place for us to get away with the fur babies and reconnect with nature.

We loved our 3 day stay in Tryon, the cottage is perfectly located in the countryside with a river running in the back yard. House is well stocked and you will have everything you need for your stay. Very relaxing time.
We came up from Charlotte and spent a couple winter nights in this cozy and well stocked house. …Explored the area, met up with old friends, ate at some nice local spots and spent a relaxing evening playing games. Hope to return and next time bring our dog!
We really felt at home. The home was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfy!! My husband enjoy fly fishing in the river. We plan on returning one day.

Awesome, quiet, relaxing setting on a trout stream with lots of shade and big trees. Great place to unwind. The property makes you smile. Plenty of chairs to sit enjoy a cup of coffee/tea/ glass of wine. Just happy be happy here. We will be back.
We had a very quiet, peaceful two nights at River Retreat. Thoroughly labeled kitchen (and beyond) was well stocked for morning coffees on the beautiful deck overlooking the backyard and river. The beds were comfortable (a rarity) and the space was perfect for four adults. We enjoyed the gentle freeze and sound of the river, so close to town yet private and quiet. Dellene was easy to communicate with and very responsive to our needs.
We love the cozy house and the surrounding property. The stream running through is so nice. Our dog loves walking the property. The wind was pretty bad, so no fire, but we stayed inside and just relaxed. Although I did get some awesome naked tree pictures.
We booked 3 nights to spend some time with family in both North and South Carolina. Dellene is a delighit! it was like staying with a friend. Her pups are precious and welcomed our girl as one of the family. The sounds of the river and her beautiful windchimes make it sound like you are in heaven. I would definitely come back to visit again.
Everything was wonderful! Our hostess, Dellene had gone to great lengths to make her property clean, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing (we thoroughly enjoyed looking at all of her antiques and unique decorations). The bubbling brook running through the back of the property was so tranquil we immediately felt the tension leave our bodies and started relaxing as soon as we got there. We loved every minute we were at Dellene's River Retreat and hope to return one day.
