"I was in town for my father‘s services… The hotel staff did an excellent job in making sure that we were taken care of… I would like to shout out about the front desk, clerk Miss Ashley, she was very understanding and made our stay very comfortable and our needs were taken care of.. she is deserving of a five star rating for service provided. I will probably be in need of additional time to attend to affairs and will definitely be using Holiday Inn for city as my home while in town.. again thank you for providing an excellent experience during my troubled times… Sincerely David Pies…"

"Very cute modern log cabin. I am very happy to say i saw a couple dusty web strands but no bugs/spiders at all! The cabin is modern as in well sealed and insulated from temperature and noise and bugs. The wood work inside is absolutely beautiful! And the air conditioning worked great. Roomy, spacious, and worked out well for us. Main floor is a master bedroom with attached bathroom and two more bedrooms wirh a common full bath. There is also a nice recreation room downstairs with a foosball table, pool table, ping pong table and hockey table along with couches and lots of windows. It also has a dock although at the moment the lake is drained. That created no issue for as we weren't there for the lake but something to be aware of until its dealt with. It also has a barbecue and dining table outside and the cabin is fully stocked with utensils including BBQ.All in all a great relaxing 'base camp for us and i would highly recommend. "

Forest City is a charming little town and we love to stay at the cottage when we visit our daughter at Gardner-Webb. ‘Sko Dawgs!"

"Peaceful, tranquil, they have a small library which is a huge plus to me. I would definitely go again. Loved the waterfall, pool was clean and accessible. Fresh coffee on the front porch to set out and enjoy the setting was a major plus for us and let’s not forget the bears! Super enjoyable"
