An excellent location in Hendersonville, steps away from Main St., shopping and restaurants. The Charleston is a family run business and they treat the guests like family. Very comfortable stay in an historic property. Be aware its an old home so could be up to 3 flights of steps to your room.
The owners are so helpful and kind. The property is beautiful and the location could not be more perfect. It’s a short walk to restaurants and live music. A great place to stay!
It is an old house, so don't expect modern amenities. We love the feel of the place especially the rocking chair porches. The staff girls are the best part of the BnB. She even noticed right away when my truck wouldn't start and gave me a jump. We have stayed here two times so far and will always make "The Charleston" our first choice. Nice and close to the business district where all the stores and restaurants are located. Lots of interesting historical places to visit as well. See you girls again next year. Many thanks for your hospitality. Rich and Mary
Very quaint. Friendly and accommodating. Easy walk to downtown.

Friendly staff and guests all around. If squirrels are your thing, the super friendly squirrels will gladly take some of the provided peanuts for hand feeding.
This is a wonderful (c.1880) National Historic Register property with fine rooms, exceptional staff, great atmosphere, nice breakfast and fun afternoon social hour. Location perfect for walking Hendersonville.
The room was very clean, bathroom was modern, the staff was warm and friendly. We enjoyed the live music, evening social hour with drinks and snacks. The location was excellent, and within walking distance to Main Street restaurants and shops. Overall, it was a good stay. I would not hesitate to rebook, if I am in the area in the future.
Loved everything about this place. I am a sucker for historic homes and this one is fantastic. Our room was very comfortable. The staff was beyond accommodating and so pleasant. Highly recommend!
The Charleston Inn proved to be an excellent place to stay during my time in Hendersonville. The breakfasts and overall service were consistently impressive, and the location—just a short two‑block walk from the downtown area filled with shops and restaurants—made exploring especially convenient. Even with the Garden Jubilee taking place and the weekend being rainy, it was still an enjoyable visit, made better by having such a comfortable and well‑situated place to stay.

Staff were polite and informative, location is in a historic area. The time we completed our visit it appeared the business was well booked but understaffed. The evening entertainment was nicely presented.
Clean room and comfortable bed, great location, walkable to downtown. We arrived late, the staff initiated self check-in instructions. Felt like they really cared that we choose to stay in their Inn.
The location is great with access to the Main Street district. Everything is walkable. The bed and room were comfortable. Old, but clean. It is inn from the 1880s after all.
I found the multiple access codes to be off-putting (front door, room). and then a key works, but then I didn’t get a key for other things. It gets a bit tedious.
There is very little front desk support. It is closed most of the time. You have to call a number for assistance.
There is ample free parking, but at first it is not clear where you can park.
I would stay here again, but you need to be aware of the nuances. The proximity to the Main Street district is what makes it invaluable. There are only a couple of places to stay that have this location.
Charming! We were there several days and it was full house and nice wine and music in the dining room in the evening and then everyone left on Monday and we had the whole place to ourselves with only one other guest making it for a quiet peaceful evening! It’s an old building in need of repairs but overall it was a great stay! Staff was very friendly and helpful but weren’t on site all the time.
Pleasantly surprised that a full cook-to-order breakfast was included in the cost of the room. (Was not mentioned on the website that I found). Walkability to downtown was a huge plus! Enjoyed our stay!
