Sorry to mention the things that weren’t so good - Our room was cold even with the remote controlled radiator. The electric shower in the bathroom gave about 30 seconds of warmish water and then reverted to tepid. "

"What was previously a slightly shabby hotel has been renovated to a very high standard. Bedrooms and public rooms are excellent and very good value overnight stay."

"A sign of the times I suppose, no biscuits in the room, receptionist or manageress, totally unwelcomeing, didn't seem to want to be there. Last negative, my wife likes her bacon well done, but the breakfast had cremated bacon. Otherwise: situated close to Lincoln, other members of staff were really nice. Having visited a number of times, the food is American diner style. On the whole, we wouldn' go back unless things changed for the better or the price undercut everywhere else."
