"The staff were great, the rooms were lovely, and the only thing that let the place down was actually other guests who changed the controls on the toaster, to the degree that the rest of my breakfast went cold while I put my bread through 3 times, and then gave up - resulting in cold breakfast, stewed, cold tea, hard bread instead of toast - apparently it's an ongoing problem, which the staff perhaps need to monitor a bit more closely."

"It is a good hotel ideally situated to see the cathedral and walk into the centre of Lincoln. Lovely staff. Lots of restaurants close by. Parking available although you have to pay even though you’re a guest! Recommended"

"Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked. Plenty to choose from. Car parking very reasonable with the discount and felt very secure. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean, but sofa and carpet could do with a clean. "

"Breakfast was very good, good variety and hot. My wife is Lactose intolerant and wheat free. The staff were very helpful in making sure that she was given freshly cooked items. The room was clean ans Sraff very friendly. We didn't use the bar as were were attending an R.A.F. Reunion. The only disappointment was the cost of the car park."

"Expedia should be ashamed to charge for accommodation in what was a hostel for vagrants. During the period that access was unavailable to us, a neighbour told us that the Hamilton was used to house council-sent people, and we saw three such unfortunate people waiting to enter. My wife was frightened by the property when access was eventually gained, describing it as being like her idea of a prison, and I found it forbidding and inhospitable. We immediately left the building and luckily were able to book accommodation at Lincoln City Centre Travelodge. We were not surprised when we met another couple we had seen at the Hamilton, in the Travelodge reception, who had like us, sought to stay elsewhere upon seeing the Hamilton. Expedia should refund our wasted payment for the awful Hamilton booking, and pay us compensation for the cost of staying at the Travelodge."

"Found the studio ok on the surface, but not up to usual Vrbo standards mainly because the ‘host’ was in contact remotely, so the problems we encountered were not able to be dealt with straight away. The shower was Luke warm and hardly more than a dribble, still not sorted after 2 nights. We were cold at night and requested blankets for the next night, but was dismissed via text as not being available. The kitchen sink didn’t have a working plug, so made washing pots difficult. Minimal cutlery, so no bread knife. Toaster was lateral rather than pop up, so needed instructions! Generally ok, but less suitable for older generations, especially the uneven sized steps which caused me to trip. Sadly, the only property in many years of using the Vrbo service rather disappointing."
