"The 18th century appearance of this inn evokes old style romanticism. The bar and dining area reflect the same. The food is honest pub fare. The room still smelled fresh from a recent renovation. The room was clean and the super king bed was very comfortable. Definitely worth the visit and keenly priced. "
"Absolutely wonderful stay from start to finish. The staff were amazing, very professional, friendly and accommodating. The surroundings are fabulous and the rooms absolutely first rate. The food, both in the restaurant at night and for breakfast were absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back"
"Hotel is in amazing Peak District area. Located above the pub but we wasnt bothered about any noice. Room and amenities are a bit dated but its comfy and pleasant. Its great for the location."

The rooms are modern, well equipped and very comfortable for short stays.
The property is very well located for public transport and just a short walk to Buxton attractions

"Very comfortable cottage for our family stay, the kitchen had everything we needed and the bedrooms were really cosy, lovely and clean everywhere. The village is gorgeous and the cottage is right at the centre of it, lots of options for food too. "
"I've stayed here 2 years running and found it ideal. Clean, comfortable and stylish. Breakfast is cereal, crackers and milk in the fridge. Theres a pub next door which does full English breakfasts if you book the previous evening. "
"Unfortunately this property did not live up to the 10/10 Exceptional reviews. Upon arrival we were greeted by dead flowers outside and a dirty front door with a musty smelling entrance porch. Huge cobwebs in the lounge had been there months. There was mould in the corner of the dining room. The main bedroom had suffered a leak in the ceiling which had happened sometime ago and just been left. The whole property looked unloved and somewhat neglected.
The only advantage of this property was that it was right in the heart of beautiful Tideswell and opposite The Star Inn which was run by Jonny and his lovely family. The steak and stilton pie was absolutely delicious. The village of Eyam is only a short drive away and a must visit if you enjoy history."
Acer Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms
10/10 Excellent
"Acer Cottage is ideally situated for exploring the area. Tideswell is peaceful yet very well served with essential services. It was a treat to find the Merchant’s Yard just steps away and the bakery was great too. The cottage itself was equipped and furnished to a high level and communication before arrival was excellent.
