"The cottage is nice and in a lovely position in Tideswell but I think you need to make people more aware that the garden has no grass and I dont think it is suitable for dogs. Also the stairs upto the bedrooms are very steep and slippy so really not suitable for older people. Other than that the cottage is lovely and if we didnt have our dog with us, would of been nice."

The shower is over bath by necessity, owing to the original dimensions of this cottage; slightly tricky getting in/out of the bath if you’re 6ft tall, though it can be done. In addition to its perfect location, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were impeccably friendly and the whole place had a wonderful homely feel to it. "The room we stayed in at the back of the pub called The Old Barn was amazing. So clean, eco friendly and spacious. We did think the top floor overlooking the lounge area could be utilised better as there was just a massive dining table in there. The staff and dining in the pub was exceptional. "

"We wondered what we had let ourselves in for on arrival. How surprised we were as our stay progressed. The breakfasts were supreme, the service with a smile by our host, David, wonderfully assisted by Allison. Nothing was too much trouble. A very pleasurable stay.
