"This hotel was close to the train and only 1 stop away from my daughter’s new apartment. Unfortunately, I don’t speak Japanese and had my daughter with me for check in. I accidentally booked a smoking room. The desk clerk assured us that it won’t be a problem to switch if I don’t like my booked room. Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu

8/10 Good

"I did not rate the property 5 star as the top floor restaurant with all the great views of the crossing and surrounding is closed for renovations and we were not informed when we made the booking."

Shibuya Tokyu REI Hotel

8/10 Good

"The location is perfect just a short walk & you are at the Scramble crossing, restaurants, bars etc. I realise rooms are small in Japan but our room was ridiculously too small for 3 nights, maybe ok for 1-2 nights, only one person could walk around the room at a time bed against the wall. I’d go for something bigger. There are water fillers at the elevators which is convenient. Breakfast was good. Staff were ok not overly friendly. The bar there never seemed to be open to guests, only members?"

Tokyu Stay Shibuya Shin-minamiguchi

8/10 Good

"The staff was friendly and helpful. It was convenient to have the washer in the room. The free necessities in the lobby came in handy. . The warm tiolet seat and bidet was unique. The only negative is the room is smaller than we're accustomed to."
