The building is lovely, very well looked after. Our twin room looked recently decorated and was a good size, with a good sized bathroom and bath. Traditional country pub / bar area with dining. Staff were extremely attentive and everything was kept clean and tidy throughout our stay. The village itself is a perfect place to stay in the Hope Valley, as it has a few shops (including great “outdoors equipment” shops, and a few other pubs and cafes etc, as well as a fantastic open air swimming pool. A great place to stay and a lovely hotel."

Whilst there are 2 separate toilets, there is only one shower/bath set in a very spacious room.The kitchen is well equipped and has ample storage space.Great views towards Blacka Moor! An ideal location to visit friends or family and explore the nearby Peak District."
