"Lovely hotel in a lovely village. Spotlessly clean and very friendly, helpful staff. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent, with a lot of choice from the menus. The building is lovely, very well looked after. Our twin room looked recently decorated and was a good size, with a good sized bathroom and bath. Traditional country pub / bar area with dining. Staff were extremely attentive and everything was kept clean and tidy throughout our stay. The village itself is a perfect place to stay in the Hope Valley, as it has a few shops (including great “outdoors equipment” shops, and a few other pubs and cafes etc, as well as a fantastic open air swimming pool. A great place to stay and a lovely hotel."

"This is our second visit to The Moon and we would definitely visit again when we are in the area. All the staff are welcoming and friendly. The rooms are beautifully presented, clean and very comfortable. We have breakfast and an evening meal. There is usually a great vibe in the bar area. And thankfully not loud music. This time we were in a room by the road and it was quite noisy. But we do like the window open! A mat is provided for the shower but a bathmat would be useful. Its a great position for getting out and about. As I say would hope for a vacancy whenever I'm in the area."

"Had a lovely long weekend here! House was really comfortable and clean and had everything we needed (I don’t think I’ve been in a holiday cottage that had sharp kitchen knives before!). Lots of good recommendations for places to go in the village as well. The only downside is we had to go home!"
