This is our second year at the property (first at this condo) and will definitely return to G201. "Our family of four had a great week at Makena Surf! The condo is well equipped and a great location on the property. The unit is right by the pool (but not loud) and a short walk to the beach. The unit has an amazing view of the ocean on the balcony where we enjoyed our morning coffee and afternoon drinks. If we find ourselves back in South Maui, we will for sure return to this unit! "We found a gold nugget in the Makena Surf! Check is was so easy. Someone from Ali’i Resorts met us at the condo to show us around. Next time we will order groceries to save on time. The condo is beautiful and very comfortable beds. The kitchen has everything you could need. The property is located on the beach so it is easy to walk down to the beach with all of your gear. And the snorkeling right off the beach is second to none. It is literally around the corner from Turtle Town. We will be staying at Makena Surf for all of our Maui visits from now on! "

"Wonderful property, quiet location but still convenient to local activities, restaurants, etc. The snorkeling right off the property was *fabulous* with many turtles (keep your distance) and plenty of reef wildlife. It’s best to get out early in the day when the water is most calm and before the big snorkel tour boats start pulling up nearby. "This property is one of the best VRBOs we have experienced. The location is perfect if you're looking for a private, quiet setting only steps from the beach. Located on Po'olenalena Beach, it's as if only the residents of Makena Surf use this section of the beach despite being public. It's like having your own private beach on Maui. Even better, many of the snorkeling tour operators pull their boats right up to the lava rocks along the south shore of the beach, so you can snorkel right off the beach and see tons of sea turtles without having to pay extra for a tour. The lanai with the sliding doors that open from the living room makes the unit so enjoyable. With a gas grill on the patio, we enjoyed nearly every meal sitting on the lanai overlooking the beach. The owners of this unit have everything covered. Really, everything and every little detail. Every tool and utensil you'll need in the kitchen, to everything you'll need for a day at the beach.The owners were very responsive and helpful. They answered every question quickly and ensured our stay was comfortable. We will definitely rebook again for future stays. "
