"the room was clean. it had a modern design and features, especially the bathroom. the ac was not so noisy to wake you up and it kept the room at a comfortable temperature. The breakfast was good; the menu choices vary every other day. The menu offered a good variety to choose. Our room overlooked the pool; kids using the pool until 10pm (yelling, laughing, etc) caused us to lose sleep. Maybe a room facing the front/road might be better. The Manolo Farmers Market next door was super convenient. "

"The Rambler was pretty much exactly what it says it is: a retro themed motel that is inexpensive and sufficient. We play hard on vacation, so we were only at our room to sleep. The location is convenient to Interstate 5 and just a few minutes south of San Diego. We had a couple of good local meals, but we brought out own breakfast food as The Rambler only offers a café that was more expensive than the stop at Costco. Parking near your room was a bit tight, but there was plenty of parking on the backside of the motel. The rooms are small, but a full size dresser was great. It was less than 20 minutes to any of the main activities (Other than the Safari Park). "

"The room wasn’t clean. It seems like they just overall don’t take very good care of the property. There was trash bins full. It seem like they haven’t been taken out in days. "
