"Right on the main restaurant and shopping area. Made to feel very welcome. We arrived on a Thursday which was perfect timing due to the street market from 4:30 to 9:30. Beacon Street is closed off and local food, produce, jewellery….etc set up stalls. The hotel provides a continental breakfast from 06:30 to 10:30. A great place to stay before returning to the mainland on the ferry. The ferry is only 10-15 mins away. Two minutes away from the pier. "
"Front desk team was very helpful! Helped us store our bikes upgrade to very quiet and comfortable unit. Views amazing! Restaurant was terrific. What a special place!"
"The Location is perfect so you can walk to lots of nice Restaurants. I like the Ladies shopping with all the Boutiques. Like the lobby of the Hotel where you can have free coffee, lattes, etc, cookies and juice etc. out all day.
The breakfast was also very good. I especially liked the little Ukrainian gal who was looking after the breakfast area. She was so friendly. We have come once a year in August for 3 years now and there is nothing I don't like. Tks. Darlene F."
"The Fairmont Empress is a five star hotel. The staff are amazing, the area is amazing, the hotel itself is impressive. Do yourself a favour and spend a couple nights. Be sure to attend High Tea. "
"Lovely check in and check out clerks. Pool looks great, kitchenette was clean and stocked with plates and utensils. I do wish there were kitchen towels available to dry the dishes or a dish rack, but thats only minor. We stayed one night and i would definately recommend it again. The area around has a few different options for eating, a&w, subway, pizza, chinese food and its about a 15 minute walk to the mall plaza which has loads of food and coffee options. Gas station right across the road although very expensive. Overall i would definately recommend this place! "
