"Visited Scarborough for the motorcycle races at Olivers Mount. St Michaels was perfect for our needs. Well equiped, clean and comfortable room. Excellent,friendly customer service. Great value cooked breakfast available. Would certInly stay again and happily recommend."

"This is a nice place for sure. Well appointed and great views. You can have breakfast added on which was just okay. Our big dislike is the size of the room...very small. We were in #3. The sea view was great. When booking I thought king bed meant a bigger room, given the cost. The bed barely fit in the room. The room was frustratingly small. There are a couple of bigger rooms, but at a higher price point. Staff were great. I would not book there again."

"This is a very traditonal hotel in the best sense of that word. The rooms are spacious and we had one with a great view towards Robin Hoods Bay. We had dinner and breakfast and both were very good."

"A lovely gem of a hotel, from a different era, but in a really good way. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, everything was spotless and looked loved. If you’re after a modern hotel, with all mod cons, then not here, but for charm, and just gentle loveliness, a great place. Minor gripes - bottle of water and shower gel / shampoo not replaced when empty. Shower one which was either boiling or ice cold on a millimetre turn. But genuinely minor & did not, in any way, dampen the stay....

"Understand Covid is present but the room was dusty and smelt floaty. When booking there was no explanation about the breakfast. £149 was a lot of money for the standard of this room. Website didn’t really match reality. The young staff were great and very friendly. One of the older staff didn’t even speak!! Was underwhelmed!"

"The stay was comfort but expensive for what it was. I was in the back of the hotel so no views and all sounds of the kitchens. One good point was a bath instead of just a shower but the standard of decorating needs very much doing."
