Hotel in excellent location overlooking the sea, car park to rear. Lovely big rooms comfy bed. Evening meal very tasty maybe a little on the expensive side. Staff very helpful and friendly. Enjoyable stay.
Great hotel and rooms. Had a lovely stay. Would recommend the Yorkshire breakfast and eggs benedict! Hotel is in an ideal position - easy to get down to the Bay itself and close to the bus stop to get to Whitby or Scarborough. Great atmosphere in The Loxley pub too. Beer garden is in a prime apot overlooking the sea. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning.
Friendly welcoming staff, beautiful hotel, the views were absolutely amazing. Breakfast was plentiful and very nice, evening meal was exceptional, so flavoursome, I had the steak and my husband had the seafood platter. A total relaxation feel throughout. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Stayed in the new adjoining wing which a sensitively refurbished Victorian house. The room was spacious, the bathroom huge and there was everything you need, including a complimentary gin & tonic. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting RHB and will happily go back again.
The sea view room was spotlessly clean with some really good views out to sea. There was ample car parking, just a little difficult to find.
The only thing to let it down a little was the evening menu, it was our wedding anniversary, and the menu was more pub grub than fine dining, it was nice but not what I was hoping for. Breakfast was very good
Great location, wonderful view over the bay which was made the more due to the glorious weather. We had room 8 with views over the bay. Very spacious. Wide breakfast choice and served hot, plenty of tea and coffee. Waiters all very helpful and cheerful. Had evening meal in Osbornes one evening, good portion sizes and reasonably priced. Plus excellent location for cliff top walk to Whitby but it is nearly 7 miles, inclines and took nearly 3 hours but great views if you're up to it and weather is favourable
Really lovely hotel. Very tastefully decorated and quite luxurious.
Room was delightful with view's across the moors.
Well stocked tea and coffee with good selection. Welcome Gin and tonics was a lovely touch.
Elemis toiletteries in the bathroom.
Breakfast waste included and had a good hot selection plus cereals, pastries and fruits etc.
We are in the main restaurant one night...food delicious. Also drank in the Loxley bar and as the weather was nice on the terrace.
Every member of staff were friendly and attentive.
Will definitely recommend and would return if in the area
Great to see whats been done since my last visit last January. Cocktail bar is a lovely addition and the out side space is now modern and will be busy in the summer to sit out and sip one of the cocktails whlist overlooking the sea . The room was beautiful. Sea view , robes, Dyson hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities and a complimentary Whitby Gin and a bottle of tonic along with bottles of Harrogate water . Eveything was clean and well thought out. Staff friendly and welcoming.
Had a lovely 2 night stay in a very comfortable deluxe room with a sea view.
Would have preferred a king size bed.
I noted that pillow protectors weren't used which is a shame especially with covid still ongoing.
The toilets in the lobby were in need of a clean on both occasions when I used them. No soap and a dirty sink.
Apart from those minor details, the staff were great, very friendly and super efficient, the food was great and the garden and patio area over looking wonderful views of the sea and country side were fabulous.
Will definitely stay there again soon.
Old English charm. Wonderful bedding. Northern friendliness
Absolutely faultless except for the awful gazebo in the garden, marring an otherwise perfect view. It didn’t really diminish the pleasure of staying at the Victoria but it would be nice if they got rid of it.
