"Brathay Lodge makes for a very comfortable and convenient stay in the Lake District. The room was modern and well-maintained and the staff friendly and considerate. There is a parking fee (unless booked direct) but you’d have to pay elsewhere anyway. If you have an electric car it’s a good idea to let them know in advance so you can use their reasonably-priced ProjectEV charger. The continental breakfast was fresh and varied and set us up for the day. Would definitely stay there again. "

"The room was warm, clean and cosy, comfy bed, bath towels a bit small, had a room with mountain view of Dow Crag & Coniston all be it a little restricted, the food was very good in the evening & the breakfast had a great choice and very tasty, staff were very friendly and helpful, it was a very peacful place to stay quiet at night no noise from other rooms will defo stay again it has been one of our better choices"

"Lovely stay at Chestnut Villa. Room was well furnished. Bed was very comfy. Had a little sitting room. Bathroom was fab with great fixture and fittings. Rain shower was amazing. Great views both out of the back and front windows. "

"We booked this hotel for a romantic 2 night adults only getaway by the lakes. The hotel itself is fabulous - clean and welcoming. Our room was perfect for our stay offering luxurious and comfortable accommodation and the breakfast on offer was superb. We booked the hotel as it was suggested it was an adults only place. Unfortunately on our second day two families with children arrived and were staying in the rooms below ours - this meant we were woken from our afternoon nap to the sound of...
