"We had a lovely stay at Shepherds Barn, we went for the Goodwood horse races and because of its location, the property was perfect for us. Everything was really clean and in great condition. The surroundings were beautiful. It was great to also have a little kitchen to make our own breakfast in the morning. "

"A really lovely little place to stay. The room was spacious and the bed super comfortable. Having kitchen facilities to use is a bonus although we didn’t use them. The shower wasn’t great (rain head only) and I really struggled to work it. It would also be great to have a mirror in the bedroom area for getting ready as the only mirror was in the bathroom. "

"The hotel is a striking and unusual building, very handsome, though we would have appreciated better signs - the rooms in the 400s, which had to be accessed through the library, were difficult to find when first arriving. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the location of the hotel, near the seafront sights (the Mary Rose museum, Nelson's flagship Victory, etc) and the ferry ports. "Good place to stay if you want to be central. Parking is in the main car park underneath the shopping mall. Check in was easy and quick. The only minor issue is breakfast. Not enough tables and the quality of food wasn't great. Some residents had nowhere to sit anf i think you could split some of the tables for four into two's so that more couples can sit separately. Never easy when strangers ask to share your table. The ground floor are also had a funny smell as you walkied through. Not sure...
