"Very poor check in, took 30 minutes. Not enough people on reception. Wrong wrong key allocated! Great breakfast. Room very dated, poor quality pillows. Stained carpet. Stayed here many times, but no more. "

"Really impressed with this Hotel. Definetely would not hesitate to stay again. From when we first arrived the staff were very helpful and went over and beyond to offer great customer service. If only all hotels were like this hotel. Definetely deserve to win a Tourism Awards for this area. As for the room, the word 'Wow' comes to mind! We heard no noise at all despite there being a wedding function on. "

"Great location, great price, it was perfect for what I needed. Clean, spacious and welcoming. Is the hotel in need of a refurb? Yes. Did it bother me? Not at all. I’d use it again 100% staff all very polite and helpful "

"All the staff from the Reception staff, waiting staff and cleaners were friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was amazing. We had on site parking which was so handy. The location is perfect for shopping and visiting the historic dockyard. Totally recommend staying here. "

"Very small room, one small can of water given. £3.15 for a small can of water at the bar downstairs. No amenities to buy general bits downstairs so couldnt get water anywhere in the night. Breakfast served very late so if you have to leave before 8 am don’t bother with breakfast. Booked pool but it was packed."

"Great location for sightseeing/shopping.All within a 15-20 min walk or 5 minutes by car. Very basic welcome on reception.If a welcome at all!Departure was just the same.A simple “I hope you enjoyed your stay “ would have been appreciated but all the young man said was thanks when handing back the room cards. The room was clean and compact.Space is an issue particularly in the shower/toilet.The toilet itself is at an awkward angle in the corner which I imagine would not be easy to use especially if you are of a larger build.The port hole window in the shower room amused me as it looks like a washing machine door and opens like one. Bed was comfy with extra pillow provided if needed. We had booked in for 2 nights and dined at the restaurant the 2nd night and can not fault the food we ordered.It was delicious and fairly priced. Overall the stay was okay.Would I stay again,most probably yes.Would I recommend,yes I would with the emphasis on the very tight tiny toilet.:)"
