"We had a very pleasant stay at this quirky octagonal cottage. It is in a little hamlet up a long lane so was very quiet. The owners house was closer than it seems in the photos but she left us to ourselves unless we needed something. The lane to the Le Gibet is narrow but is one way so you don't have to worry about meeting another car going up. Entering the lane going up the hill is fine as its on the right. But care needs to be taken if turning left into it as its just after a bend, is quite a...

"A member of our family was ill with COVID; I assumed this meant that they would not want us to stay and informed them ahead of time. It was no problem, apparently, she just wantd us to leave the windows open after we left. Not how this works. Did not stay, out of personal responsibility to control infection, but she would have been fine with it. Makes me wonder what other corners they cut here. So - if you stay here, bring cleaning products and carefully disinfect beforehand."

"After not thinking we would be able to holiday due to Covid this was the perfect relaxing retreat. Everything was as we had expected. The log cabin was well equipped and comfortable. The gifts on arrival ( goats cheese , apple juice, jam and cider ) were all lovely and a nice touch. Roaming chickens and cats were an added delight with some eggs given to us in the week. Perfect break."

"We were there for only one night. The property was clean and the host responded to all our inquiries. It was centrally located. It was minimally furnished but met our needs. There were few amenities but that was known by the property description and reflected in the price. Drawback...it was an upper floor without an elevator. "
