"Good view of the sea. As described and clean, and we liked the mid-century furniture. Could do with a bit of TLC (leaking shower, loose tap, oven knob not working correctly) but didn't affect the overall stay. Would benefit from better mattresses on the beds."

"We had been looking for last minute accommodation for kitesurfing training at Camber Sands beach. We booked for 3 nights and all was very smooth. The host was very responsive and the checkin process was very easy. The beds with linen were made up when we arrived, which was a massive positive!! Minor issue with the hot water, but fixed incredibly swiftly. The accommodation is close to the beach. All in all very good stay and we would come back."

"From the moment we arrived all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was of a good size, lovely views and very clean. We had an evening meal in the dining room, which was of excellent quality. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely. We were not disappointed, in fact Hotel and staff exceeded our expectations. The grounds, including the country club, it’s worth walking around. The Ashdown Forest is a very beautiful setting , lots of walks."
