"This was the right hotel for a friend’s trip abroad (from Canada). The little touches like coffee/tea/fridge made it the right space. Location was perfect. Close to two tube stations, a tesco express ( think sandwich’s, snacks, etc) staff were very friendly.
We then moved to the Wilde Aldgate for a few days after thinking it would be good to be closer to other parts of London. Paddington was a MUCH BETTER HOTEL - then Wilde Aldgate. I don’t know why Aldgate Wilde has better reviews (maybe better for business purposes) but paddington is cleaner, and far better maintained and a very pretty area. "
"Surprised I loved it. 98 bus at the corner street will take you directly to Oxford street in a few minutes. Also the 16 is there to take you to Paddington Station for and easy ride to Heathrow. Remember to use the towel warmer and there’s cookies in the coffee drawer. Breakfast is continental and the same every day, but the coffee is great! I was there 10 days. "
