I would like to give kudos to the staff for their very friendly and helpful service. For example, one particular morning, the safe inside my room would not open (I needed to have access to my cash!) and a call to the front desk requesting assistance was promptly followed by a member of staff (I am sorry, I cannot remember his name) reset the lock code and hey presto, the safe was back into action. This same member of staff also carried my luggage into the hotel and upstairs to my assigned room.
The Caesar hotel is located on a beautiful and quiet street (Queen's Gardens) inside Bayswater area of London which one of my coworkers regarded as a "swanky place" to which she was correct on that statement!
Lovely hotel in a beautiful area, very close to Hyde Park and Paddington Station.
I give my top marks to this hotel.
The Caesar Hotel is a gem in Paddington—ultra clean and modern, has air conditioning, super friendly and helpful staff, and in a beautiful and quiet area that’s just minutes away from the park, Bayswater and Queensway tube stations, and Paddington station. Our room was spotless and housekeeping took such good care of us and the room. Having stayed for a week and during the week of the heat wave, the air conditioning was a literal lifesaver. I can’t speak to breakfast or the bar as we were out and about all day, but I can imagine it’s also 5/5. Found our new favorite place to stay in London.
I enjoyed my stay at the Caesar Hotel. The breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety of natural juices, yogurts, and a good selection of hot food. The staff were also very helpful and friendly throughout my stay.
My only complaint was regarding the air conditioning. It was not working on the first night, and even once it was functioning, it did not cool the room as much as I had hoped. As a result, I woke up during the night struggling to breathe and feeling very weak, which meant I did not sleep properly at all. The only solution offered was a fan, but unfortunately this did not make the room cool enough. I only stayed for two nights.
This was hands-down the best experience I’ve had in hotel. A bit of background, I became disabled a few years ago, but previously I worked as a chef and also in a hotel. I asked for an accessible room if that was available. At the time I still was pretty unsure about London area, but I imagine it would have been very inaccessible as an older city. That said the staff, and clearly the owners doing the renovations had some accessibility in mind. The staff all learned how to use the ramp that they have on site to assist me and never once made me feel like it was an inconvenience.
The food was spectacular! We had a very good sampling of the menu, but both me and my husband fell in love with their sticky toffee pudding I am still dreaming about it. The breakfast was extremely well done. Our server for dinner mentioned that it was “not to be missed“ and I’m so glad we took her advice. Every single staff member that we interacted with was so kind and so helpful, but I do want to give a shout out to John, who was there from the moment we arrived and seemed to possibly stay there himself because we never didn’t see him 😂 I only had to wave him through the window for him to come running with the ramp to gain access into my room.
We will definitely be back next time we’re in London I can’t imagine seeing anywhere else.
Clean room with all essentials.
Staff were wonderful - from front desk to dining staff. Welcoming, pleasant and happy to help with our requests.
The breakfast was excellent. Great variety of hot foods. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel
The breakfast was excellent but not included. The room was spotlessly clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room felt cramped. There was not enough room between the bed and the closet and the wall on the other side. There were no washcloths or Kleenex. Upon request, we got a box of Kleenex, but no washcloths. There was no bathroom door.
The staff were nice and professional. The room was clean and we appreciated the mini bar with bottled water, tea & coffee. A bit weired of the privacy of the bathroom
I am actually disheartened to leave this review as I have been staying at The Caesar for 4 years but unfortunately being kicked out on Christmas Eve morning which also happens to be the anniversary of death of my brother has left me no choice.
I originally booked for one night on 22.12 but extended my stay on 23.12 and got changed room. To my surprise, upon changing room, I was handed a letter saying there was a lingering smell of smoke in the previous room I was staying in and that a 250 fee would be applied if I was smoking in the room. I do smoke and had not finished my last cigarette so it was in my bag but would never smoke in the room.
I didnt think anything of it as I thought this was a misunderstanding and went out a few times on 23.12 to smoke (outside which is easy to prove) - as late as 2am.
On 24.12, I decided to extend my stay for an extra night (after getting breakfast in room) as I did not feel mentally able to leave with my brother and so I extended my stay online. I was called 5 minutes later to be told this would not be possible as I keep smoking in the room & that apparently the smoke could be smelled from outside (not true, I checked and was typical Caesar scent). I was extremely surprised and asked them to come inspect my room. Two ladies came into my room and said there was a smell and they gave me 30 minutes to leave (had not even started my breakfast).
Genuinely left wondering if this decision was racially motivated as I did not smoke in the room.
