"The hotel was clean and comfortable but could do with a lick of paint. The carpets could do with replacing too. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even though an error was made in our booking they put it right straight away. Breakfast was excellent. On-site free parking was a bonus too."

"Stayed here for two nights and had a fantastic stay. The hotel is situated perfectly for exploring York and within 14 minutes walk of all you need to visit, ie York Minster, The Shambles, Jorvik Viking Centre and much more. Made two specific requests beforehand and both were met to complete satisfaction. Hotel staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Lovely room which was clean with the exception of behind the bathroom door. Breakfast choice excellent and well presented and flavourful. Would definitely recommend and would return again. "
