I also appreciated the flyers of local activities. Communication was excellent and very prompt…an added touch of hospitality. Neighbors were friendly and well accommodating while we were unloading. And York is a lovely city."

The bungalow is easily accessible not too far from the A1 & there are good convenience facilities just off the A1 roundabout less than 4 miles from Austerfield. The bungalow is furnished to a high standard with comfortable sofas & excellent beds & bedding. The location is in a secure park with intriguing deer statues in several places. Well recommended for short or long stays."

"My partner and I (and our dog) stayed at Gemma’s lovely cottage and we couldn’t be happier! Communication was prompt, the cottage was immaculate when we arrived and fully equipped, and the village of Burythorpe was beautiful! Highly recommend popping into the pub across the street as it was lovely. Gemma also provided several great recommendations in the guest book and we are sad that we couldn’t get to everything in our weekend stay! Would definitely come back, thanks Gemma!"

I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. "We had a fantastic stay in Louise's gorgeous cottage. Beautifully decorated, luxury bedding, comfy beds and just 5 mins from centre of York. Check in was easy and Louise allowed us a later checkout which tied in nicely with our train home. We have all agreed that we would love to come back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the cottage to others coming to York."
